Assistant Cook – in a large commercial kitchen setting. We prepare and package and serve up to 300 meals a day.
This is a full-time job and the hours are 6:00 am – about 1:30 pm Monday – Friday and the pay is $16.00 an hour. You will accrue vacation and sick time according to the hours you work. We are looking for someone that is available immediately and can interact with many different personalities and be friendly to senior citizens. You must be able to follow food safety requirements. This position requires prepping and packaging for 5 different delivery routes and also a daily congregate meal setting. Counting, organization and the ability to work ahead is a must. You will assist the head cook with prepping and packaging meals. You will be in charge of counting and packaging sides and desserts for our home delivered clients and prep and set up and clean the weekly salad bar. After you are fully trained you will be required to learn to be back up for the cook in the event of an absence or vacation. We are a zero-tolerance company when it comes to drugs and alcohol, you will be required to pass a background check.
