Hidden Valley Ranch has been designed to provide men and women who have acquired traumatic head injuries and challenging behaviors with an active, therapeutic and recreational treatment alternative. Hidden Valley Ranch, located in a rural setting, combines educational, vocational and recreational components along with the structured activities of daily living to create a comprehensive, long-term living environment.
Examples of activities that Hidden Valley Ranch has coordinated include therapeutic horseback riding, attendance to classes at local community colleges and activities at Hidden Valley Ranch Nursery. The Nursery is a full service, retail nursery open to the public. It carries a full line of fruit, shade and ornamental trees, shrubs, roses, and succulents & cacti. Plant specimens are selected for viability in the Ramona zonal region. Examples include fruit trees (peaches, apricots, nectarines, pears, apples, etc.), succulents (agave, aloe, etc.), ornamental trees (redbud, chitalpa, vitex, etc), shade trees (ash, birch, cherry, eucalyptus, etc), shrubs (rosemary, plumbago, iris, lily, society garlic, etc), and a large variety of roses.
