Please be advised to expect weekend congestion on State Route 67 for up to four consecutive weeks beginning April 21 due to a full closure on State Route 78 (SR-78) between Indian Oaks Road and Weekend Villa Road in Ramona.
The SR-78 closures are needed for an emergency project to construct a retaining wall and stabilize the highway slopes. Lengthy detours will cause significant delays and traffic congestion on SR-67, Scripps Poway Parkway as well as on San Pasqual Road and Bear Valley Parkway to southbound Interstate15. Please see the attached News Release and detour map for details.
Meanwhile, crews on the SR-67 Dye Road/ Highland Valley Road Improvement Project are continuing State 4 work to widen the westbound side of the intersection. Weekday daytime work is scheduled for the remainder of the month.
Crews completed Stage 3 widening of the eastbound side of the intersection and re-opened a second eastbound lane on Highland Valley Road. The work included installing a drainage system, signal pole and signal light relocation and pouring new curbs and sidewalks.
